Of all the skills developed at university, giving good presentations is one of the most important. There are very few graduate jobs that don't require some kind of public speaking and in many it's an integral part of the job.
Finally, don't be too hard on yourself. We are often our own harshest critics and believe our shortcomings are glaring obvious to others! It's highly likely that your audience didn't spot how nervous you were and the time you paused because you couldn't remember a word may have felt like an hour to you but went unnoticed by them. Most members of your audience will wish you well, think you are very brave and be glad it's not them having to give a presentation!
Good luck!
