A phenothiazine antipsychotic used principally in the treatment of nausea, vomiting, and vertigo. It is more likely than chlorpromazine to cause extrapyramidal disorders.

Pharmacological action: antiemetics, antipsychotic agents, phenothiazine, dopamine antagonists.
