<virology> A genus of the family paramyxoviridae (subfamily pneumovirinae) where the human and bovine virions have neither haemagglutinin nor neuraminidase activity. Pneumonia virus of mice has haemagglutinin activity. Respiratory syncytial virus, human is the type species.
