The plexus of nerves including branches of the glossopharyngeal, vagus, and accessory nerves (cranial root), that lies along the posterior wall of the pharynx, a venous plexus on the posteriolateral walls of the pharynx, emptying through the pharyngeal veins into the internal jugular.
