<assessment> A written description of the standards or characteristics to be assessed for a given task or activity.
Performance criteria may be general, specific, analytical, or holistic. They may be expressed as a scoring rubric or scoring guide.
They are used by an assessor to judge whether an individual can perform a specified activity to the defined standard.
