| herbs | medical dictionary |
Any plant designated as herb by any source. Formerly the term designated those angiosperms that have little or no woody tissue and die at the end of the growing season, especially in the temperate zones where winter cold suspends plant growth. It includes also plants used for their aromatic, savory, or medicinal properties.
