<chemical>
(chloromethyl)oxirane. A chlorinated epoxy compound used as a solvent in a variety of resins, gums, paints, etc. It has shown anti-fertility activity in males. According to the fourth annual report on carcinogens (ntp 85-002, 1985), epichlorohydrin may reasonably be anticipated to be a carcinogen.
Pharmacological action: carcinogens, contraceptive agents, male, solvents.
