Ethyl-p-nitrophenyl ethylphosphonate. A reversible organophosphorus cholinesterase inhibitor. It also affects the presynaptic membrane and inhibits membrane postsynaptic cholinergic receptors. The compound had former use as a miotic.
Pharmacological action: cholinesterase inhibitor.
