<immunology> A rare disease where the body is unable to produce immune antibodies due to the complete abscence of immunoglobulins IgG, IgM and IgA.
The disease can be acquired or inherited as an X-linked recessive genetic disease.
It produces a susceptibility to opportunistic infection due to the failure of humoral antibodies. Cell-mediated immunity is unaffected.
