A class of homoxenous or heteroxenous parasitic protozoa exhibiting both sexual and asexual phases. Locomotion is by body flexion, gliding, or undulations of longitudinal ridges. Pseudopods, if present, are used only for feeding. It comprises three subclasses: gregarinia, coccidia, and piroplasmia.
