A major subdivision of the prokaryotes (includes all except Archaebacteria. most gram-positive bacteria, cyanobacteria, mycoplasmas, enterobacteria, pseudomonads and chloroplasts are Eubacteria. The cytoplasmic membrane contains ester linked lipids, there is peptidoglycan in the cell wall (if present) and no introns have been discovered.
