I need the prefix/root/suffix for the word "desquamative". I have spent x hours trying to get information. Please help.

desquamative is the adjective form of the verb desquamation

The root for this word would be squama

The prefix de- means 'from' or 'away'.

The suffix -ive turns the noun desquamation into the adjective desquamative.
