This would be used for any patient requiring ventilation for a longer period of time. Inhalation injury in smoke and fire exposure might necessitate a tracheostomy.

Measuring the inflation of the cuff of tracheostomy.

If the cuff is to be inflatted to 25cm round, how much air judged by a syring of air in mls do you need to push through?

I am new in this form i don't have any idea about tacheoosomy. what is this?
Can anyone give me brief detail about it? It is any type to cancer or what? I want to know more about it.
